The Trust is pleased to announce that full planning permission has been granted for a scheme of 70 one bedroom apartments at Annamore Court, Chapelizod Hill Road, Ballyfermot.
Annamore Court is a derelict site comprising 38 bedsit apartments that formerly housed older tenants as part of a sheltered housing scheme.
Following comprehensive consultation with Dublin City Council, the Iveagh Trust will purchase and fully redevelop the entire site to provide 70 one bedroom apartments in a new sheltered housing development to house elderly people nominated by Dublin City Council from their housing waiting list.
The development will include a Nurse’s station, Estate Manager’s office, Community Room, Laundry facilities and also provide sufficient space to accommodate carers overnight in a number of units.
As the longest established approved housing body in the country, the Iveagh Trust has extensive experience in providing and managing social housing and continues to manage similar schemes to the one proposed at Annamore Court, helping older people to live independently for as long as possible, with the support of the Trust.
