Kevin Street is the oldest and largest Iveagh Trust community.

First built between 1894 & 1901, with significant additions between 1933 and 1949, and again from the late 1990s into the early 2000s, the Kevin Street estate now contains 474 homes, making it one of the largest complexes in Ireland.

Blocks A – N of the Kevin Street Estate are protected structures – three vast blocks built parallel and close together in a characteristic Trust style, red brick with impressive entrances and conspicuous Dutch gables. These buildings are five-storeys high and originally contained 584 rooms in 336 separate flats – 108 one room, 208 two room and 20 with three rooms. Kevin Street is home to approximately 1,500 residents of all ages. Many residents are now second and third generation Iveagh Trust tenants who have strong connections to the estate, helping to foster a stable community.

An elected Residents’ committee meets regularly with the Trust’s Director of Housing to discuss any issues that arise on the tenants' behalf.

A number of our staff live and work in the Kevin Street community and are part of the team of Estate Managers and Caretakers dedicated to providing a quality estate management service, seven-days, year-round.
