Throughout our 125+ year history, The Iveagh Trust has continued to adhere to and apply the aims and values that are set out in the founding Deed of Trust of 1890. The primary purpose of the Trust as described in the Deed is:
The amelioration of the conditions of the working population of Dublin and their manner of living, by the provision of improved dwellings…
All of the housing owned by the Trust is allocated to people in housing need who qualify for social housing. In delivering these services, we work closely with Local Authorities.
The Iveagh Trust housing management model has been tried and tested for more than a century and is focused on delivering a high quality service to tenants.
This housing management model is based on Iveagh Trust staff; Estate Managers and Caretakers, living on the estates where they work so that there is a constant management presence to ensure the smooth running of every estate. This presence is further enhanced by the fact that there are estate offices where tenants come to discuss issues on a weekly basis and community facilities on every estate where tenants can meet.
Given the success of this type of management model over such a long period of time, it is the intention of Trustees to continue to provide services in this way with an emphasis on the continuous improvement of the quality, type and range of services offered to tenants.
