Annamore Court wins at the ICSH Community Housing Awards

IMG-20170927-WA0018

Annamore Court, the Trust’s latest housing scheme, won in the “Collaboration Initiatives” category at the ICSH Community Housing Awards.

The Trust was delighted to accept the award for this unique development that has completely regenerated a derelict site in Ballyfermot of 38 bedsit units. In its place, Annamore Court has delivered 70 new homes for older people, along with the supports and services to help sustain independent living in the community for as long as possible, at an all-in cost of €143,000 per unit.

A range of communal services are provided on-site; a resident caretaker, a visiting nursing service, dedicated tenant liaison officers, community room, guest room, laundry & gardens.

Construction began in January 2016 and tenants had received the keys to their new homes by June 2017, just 18 months. The development has bedded down well, relationships are beginning to develop and the new community here is beginning to thrive.
