GE Capital make a welcome return to Moyne House!

GE_Moyne_House

The Trust and the residents of Moyne House were delighted to welcome back an army of volunteers from GE Capital to the balcony garden on Monday.

Undeterred by the weather, the GE Team got stuck in to revamp the garden for the summer and ensure that our older residents at Moyne House can really enjoy this quiet space in the middle of Dublin City. The team arrived with an array of plants, a new water feature, garden equipment, paint for garden furniture and to top it all off, a feature gazebo.

As it turns out the Gazebo was put into immediate use to allow the existing benches and tables to be painted. Old pots were replanted using a wide variety of flowering ornamental species, fruit & vegetables – all with a little help from some of our green-fingered tenants.

The team from GE Capital gave up their time as part of GE’s Volunteer Day (what would normally be a day off as it coincides with a US Bank Holiday). Their work each year has really transformed the balcony garden and is hugely appreciated by the Iveagh Trust’s tenants and staff.

Thank you!
